Attempted photo shoot.

I PROMISE next post will be a house post!!!

Until then: Here are a few pictures, I attempted to take their 2 and 4 year pictures on a very nice, very windy day but they really weren't having any of it. It really takes another person helping out to get good pictures so I'll try this again in a week or two when it warms back up.

I told them that if they did well for me then we could blow up some water balloons. I'm just a nice mom and let them do it anyway :)

Birthday photo dump!

All those balloons were all over the old house when we went back!!! OYI!

And none of these pictures truly depicts the chaos it was of having 2 kids open presents at the same time! It's a good thing I have to be a multi-task-er in my every day life because WOW my mind was in 1000 places trying to stay organized.

By the way, family that wasn't there... that big caterpillar next to Lillian, does it remind you of anything?!?

This time a few years back...

Two years ago this weekend, big brother was lovin on his sister! He has always been a fantastic big brother!

Last year this time, we took a few pictures outside for her first birthday. (And his, but those pictures are to come later this week!)

This is my favorite week of the year and I am sooooo excited for them to wake up on their birthday and see what I have planned for them! Of corse, I work really early on Lillian's birthday so I won't get to see her reaction but I think she'll be happy!!!

March already?

I know February is a short month but really? Where did it go? Since I have a new years resolution of making monthly resolutions, I have this obligation to make some new ones for the month of March and to admit that I am a failure at my goals. I'm not beating myself up about it, it's just true, I failed. Again.

Drink 4 shaker bottles of water a day: I did do better at drinking more water but nope, there were several days I missed out on the 4th, even 3rd shaker bottle worth of H2O.

Go through closet: Nope, didn't happen. It WILL happen when we move. Obviously, I'm not going to put clothes in the new closet that I hate. So it will happen, I just had only one day this month where I was around at home all day.

Find all pieces to toys: yes/ no. I did find almost all of them and put them in those cubes I wanted so badly to keep organized. BUT, it lasted a whole week. They are now back in the toy eater of all toy eaters, the toy box. I think this will not successfully happen until we have shelves to put the cubes on. When the toys were easier to find and in their own little cubes, the kids did play with them much more. So this is a great idea, it just needs to be a bit more organized.

Work on quality time with kids: Hey, I didn't completely fail!!! Yes, we have had a lot of quick meals and we will be having more. There are so many children suffering from sickness right now, especially local. I read their updates, good or bad and it brings tears to my eyes. I can't thank God enough for the health of my family, the joy I get to have with my children. I pray that those children are healed and the families can find comfort in how God chooses to heal them. Yes, I've still gotten angry with them over little things and 99% of that is lack of sleep on my part. That is when I remind myself that it could be my child who is sick, life is short and to be grateful for everything, even when they are driving me nuts.

March: I haven't really thought of any new goals. I'm trying this new diet plan to try to lean out. I have the muscle, I just want to look like I have the muscle. So far, only two days in, I'm HUNGRY and I don't do well on hungry. I've never really stuck to a diet well so I guess my one and only goal for March will be to stick to my diet as much as possible. I am allowed one cheat meal a week and so I'll just plan on making all the goodies for the kid's birthday party that one day so I can try the goodies and then stick them in the freezer until their birthday!!

To give me ideas for April, what are some of your goals that you have made?

What are ones that you have stuck to and still doing to this day?
