If you are like many people, you either set a New Year’s Resolution and break it, or never set one because you know that you will break it. I typically try to set one but usually end up failing. This year, I have set two. One being that I would blog more often; it was something that I looked forward to when I was pregnant, updating my blog once a week. This, I have obviously not been succeeding thus far! Second, being to read the Bible from cover to cover. I have always wanted to do this, but I have never been able to make it past the old English. With a Contemporary English Version, I can understand what is being said. I am a very slow reader and with taking care of a now toddler, I struggle to find time. My goal is to make it at least half way by the end of the year.
This all being said, I have completely neglected my blog. January has been quite the month. Will is officially walking. He took his first steps on the 3rd and really started walking around the 17th. So, at 10 ½ months, he’s everywhere! We also discovered that Will has a high pain tolerance! About two weeks back he woke up four nights in a row, just screaming until he had a bottle. I assumed that he was going threw a growth spurt. Then last Thursday, he spiked a fever in the evening and then again in the morning. It wasn't much but enough to make me think that maybe something was going on. So, I called the doctor and when we got there, she said that he has a major ear infection in both ears! Will is now on heavy antibiotics for a little over a week.
Dennis’s cows are calving so, we have more babies around. That means a lot of time checking on them throughout the day making sure that they are all alright. He’s also been spending more time down stairs in the “shop” as it is winter and doesn’t have a lot of inside work. I think that he has really enjoyed spending Sundays with Will while I either am working or sleeping. It’s been their day where they just hang out.
I’ve been busy at work, trying to get as much overtime that they will pass my way. I do miss the little guy like crazy when I work that much but in the end, I am doing it for him. I am really getting more and more into baking. There are so many different, fun recipes that I have been dying to try! I have also been having fun with my camera; I just need to learn how to do more post processing.
A couple of weeks ago we had the Englekens over for supper and to try out some cute cake pops out for Miss Jaelynn's birthday. I was so happy with the way that these turned out since we waited a little to long to dip them in the chocolate so it was hard and chunky. But, HOW CUTE ARE THESE LADYBUGS?!?!?!?
Watching Will and Jaelynn play was so much fun. This was the first time that we got to hang out since the babies were more mobile.
