Zoo Trip

Since I haven't had much to blog about lately, I'll show you some fun we had at the zoo a few weeks ago. My Mom and Dad wanted to take all the grand kids to the zoo this summer and Will and Lill were the last to go. Boy did they enjoy it!!! Lillian is such an animal lover!

Oh, and her favorite food? Rocks.

This one just makes me laugh, they didn't want to leave the big guy!

And then a few from Mom's camera and I have no idea how to make them big!!! So get a magnifying glass out and enjoy.

Wedding photo dump

Rehearsal--They needed it. :) They really did do great. Will would only walk down if he was walking with Kaydence.

Because we left this beautiful girl at home, I thought I'd drop one photo in here of her. I'm pretty sure, tooth #4 is on it's way out!!!

Handsome ring bearer!

Feeding the goats!

SO darn cute!!!

Beautiful bride and her Dad!!

Hi five for Dad after the "I Dos"!

Awesome pic during the ceremony. That boy loves his grandparents!

Sleepy S'mores.

And if you wish to watch Will go down the isle:

Blueberry Lemonade Jam

2 pints blueberries
1/2 c. lemon juice (would be better fresh w/ lemon zest)
roughly 3/4 c. splenda
Just a bit of water
2 packets of unflavored gelatin
(bananas photo bombed this picture)

Mix it all together and boil! Taste and see if you want it sweeter. I added just a bit over 1/2 a cup of Splenda so I'd start from there if you like it more tart. I also added 3 packets of the Gelatin but it was quite set up. I'm always afraid it wont at all!

If you have a pressure caner and want to then can these babies up, otherwise, I just toss them in the freezer until I'm ready to use them! Yummy!

Also note, if you don't like the chunks of fruit in it and want a jelly, just strain it and that's it!

Happy 4th!!

Note: I didn't take this picture, it's just pretty.

So, I don't have a lot to blog about but it's always good to blog when your in a good mood, right?

Here's a short little update about us. Will does like fireworks, IF he has ear protection on. After the first shot the other night, he went running into the house. I got my headphones out and put them on his head. From then on, he loved it, ooo-ed and awwww-ed at each one. I'm pretty sure we will not know whether Lillian likes them for another year. She slept through it all.

Will passed swim lessens! I wasn't sure if he would because he wasn't wanting to put his face under water but he did once, and that's what it took. He enjoyed it and it was really great to have a week of just us hanging together over lunch. Minus one day, we had Lillian and it was a mess.

I *think* I have seen one more tooth in Lillian's mouth. That would make a whole 3 teeth on that 16 month old! She does like to take her time with things doesn't she?!

Will is a ring bearer in a wedding this weekend! I'm so excited to see how he does! No matter how he does, he'll be pretty handsome!

Dennis is working on combining wheat. We don't have much so he may be done for all I know! It wont be long before it will be full blown chopping season. AAACK! Single Mom time, here we come! Really though, it won't be that bad. Will LOVES to ride with Dad. Well for that matter, so does Lillian! They will just have to take turns in who goes with Dad in what days. It'll work out, it always does.

I don't think I have mentioned this before, but I'm getting my personal training certificate. I am working on my final as we speak and I am beyond excited about it! I really thought the final would be an afternoon kind of thing. Holy Moly was I wrong! Some of these essays take weeks to do and plan. Then there are a couple case studies. I don't get the actual certificate until I am CPR and AED certified though, so I'm waiting on a class to pop up somewhere. My plan is to do this on my days off. I will miss my kids like crazy but with daycare changing their policies, we have to pay for them being there or not. So, why not make a little on the side doing something that I LOVE?!

I will share my whole story with you another time but until then, I just want to share my two goals I will have as a trainer. One being that we find an exercise program that you enjoy. No one will ever stick anything out if they don't enjoy it. I hate running. I may do it on occasion but I don't enjoy it. If you enjoy it then do it!!! I want to find something for you that you will stick it out.

Secondly, my goal is try to make people (you, yes you) stop looking at the scales so closely. I had to personally experience this first hand to really grasp this concept. This is the story that I will tell at a later date. When I reach my goal of getting to 15% body fat. I have a ways to go but I'll get there and when I do, I will share everything, even the number on the scales. If you know me and see me in person I will gladly share it now but on the Internet, with pictures, I wait until I reach my goal!

Until then, I wish you all a very happy, safe 4th of July. It really is a happy time of year, so smile and enjoy this AMAZING weather!

Trying to talk Will into going off the diving board during swim lessens. He did finally go, but I more pushed him off. I would have had a picture of him ON the board but I had to go with him and his teacher caught him.
