28 weeks baby #3

Today I had my 28 week check up! I am so glad this second part of this pregnancy seems to be moving along quicker than the first. Of all the things I'm pretty proud of right now is my weight gain. I am still at around 18.5lbs for weight gain. Seems like a lot I know but with Lillian I was up 27lbs at 30 weeks. So as long as I don't gain 9 pounds this next month, I should be good. As long as I walk 4-5 times a week then my weight seems to be maintaining or a small gain and I'm okay with that. As far as my belly measurement, I was measuring right at 28 weeks this time!

I had to have two shots today too. The whooping cough is a shot that is recommended for every pregnancy now and that is one that I think is so very important. I'm glad I can get it while pregnant and give this baby some of that while she is still in there and safe from these illnesses. I also had to get my Rhogam shot. Last week I had my gestational diabetes test and in my hospital they usually give you the Rhogam shot if you need it when you take this test. I took the test at a different hospital because it was closer and just made since. So they must do things differently here as I never got the shot. I had to ask at my appointment when I was going to get it and they figured I already had it. So trip to the hospital to get it I went.

Other than those updates on baby, there's not much else with her, I do wish she would be more active but she's active enough that I don't worry about it. It would just be nice to feel more movement.

Will has strep throat! Friday night he said his head hurt really bad so we gave him some tylanal and sent him to bed. About 3:00 he woke up crying again saying his head hurt. He had a pretty high fever of about 103. All weekend long he has been fighting this fever and complaining of his head hurting with a little sore throat.

He doesn't look good in this picture but truly, he is acting about normal even with the fever! Hopefully the meds we have him on will kick in fast and he will be his normal self!!!

Just a goof taking a picture with Roxy!

And while Will wants to snuggle, she got the kindle for a bit. Apparently she thought she would float away while watching?!

First tooth!!!

And with that, I have a first grader!!! The tooth fairy came last night while my big boy was sleeping! I'm sure it was very exciting when it came out while eating at Grandmas! I was at work so I missed the excitement.

In other news, our garden is just now starting and I'm already tired of doing it... Pregnancy has some to do with that but I always am ready to be done as quick as I am ready to have it. I did can some beans all by myself for the first time ever! I just did one canner full and that is 7 quarts and they all sealed except for one jar break. I call that a success since you can't control a jar breaking. If you have followed me in the past you know that I have canned quite a bit but with my Mom. We are about a week or two away from having to put up corn too. We usually freeze that but I want to try to can some this year too. Canning takes so much more time but we tend to use it more if it's canned instead of frozen.

That's all for now! Until next time!!

I can't believe it either!

I feel very prepared for this baby! I'm almost 26 weeks along there is very little that we will need yet! It makes me excited and relieved. I am such a planner that I remember freaking out a little when I was just ready for Will at 36 weeks!

We are planning on keeping my car just for a little while longer after baby is here. Because of this, I needed to find three car seats that fit across one row. This is a challenge really! Thanks to the help of some car seat techs on Facebook, I bought three new car seats and YES! They all fit! It's quite a tight fit and I'm sure a load of curse words will be said until we find a new car but it will work until then. Will has troubles buckling his seat belt but we can help him and it'll be fine. Will smiled all shyly at the car seat and said "I can't wait until there is a baby in there." He is such a good big brother!

As I said above, I'm almost 26 weeks and still at about a 15lb weight gain. I'm okay with this! There was about a week or more that I couldn't even walk for exercise. I had bronchitis and it was truly so hard to breathe and having to blow my nose every 90 seconds makes it hard to be too far from a box of Kleenexes!  I'll have my glucose test week after next. I'm truly not too worried about it as I've always had more of a low blood sugar issue. I did fail it with Will but that was because I had a bit to eat before the test. I passed the 3 hour test after that.

Blackberries! Do you see the size of these puppies?! There is a place not too far that is a you-pick farm and Mom and I went and picked 7.5lbs in about 15 minutes. I have a hard time sharing them!

Over the 4th, we went to a pond with some friends and the kids had a blast! We thought about camping out with them but I had to work in the morning and lets be honest... would Lillian actually stay all night? We'll try it at some point but that night just wouldn't have worked out. It was a great time and I hope to do it again soon!!
