Family update

Will- He needs the sleep, but.... he LOVES to procrastinate. The things he will hate me for when he gets older... "MOOOOMMMM, I gotta poop!" "MOOOOOM, I need to pee." "MOOOOOOOOOM, I want Daddy." "DAAAAAAAD?" "MOM?" "Hey Mom, I want to snuggle!" This goes on anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 1/2 hours! He needs the sleep because if he misses it, he will wake up in the middle of the night and scream. Other than this, the boy is tired of the weather. It's amazing one day and he can play outside for hours and then the next day it's snowing. He just doesn't understand that he can't go outside to play when there is 3" of snow on the ground. Well, he could, just his hands would be ice cubes. The last few days he has been acting like his ear hurts but you ask him and he denies it. In fact he told one of his daycare providers that he was holding his ear because it 'not hurt'.... silly boy. But with this we are keeping an extra eye on him wondering if he may have an ear infection. He is pretty much potty trained! Tonight and last night he pooped in his diaper for the night but I'm sure that's because we were trying to ignore him because of his procrastination. But for the last month and a half or so he has only been wearing big boy underwear. Pull ups and/or diapers are only for sleeping time.

Lillian- FINALLY, she has 2 teeth! She was 13 months and 2 days old when the first tooth popped out. I was really beginning to think if she even had any teeth in her head. She took about 3 steps on the 11th and since then has only taken one hear and there but she still has no interest in taking off. The girl is determined to be a baby forever! Yes, she had another ear infection last week. The good thing with tubes is that we could treat it with drops instead of anti-biotic. They always gave her infections and so then we had to treat another problem. After a week of drops, she was good to go.

Dennis- Is starting his long working hours. Once daylight lasts longer, so do his work days. He's been working on a fuel trailer at one of the guy's house that drives for him. There are about 6-8 cows still to have calves but most are done. He has about half the herd out on wheat. His chore buddy has a blast helping him. Talking about Will if you didn't get that. Since winter has seemed to hang around forever and a half, I'm not sure when he will start doing spring chopping. It's usually the end of May but if it doesn't start warming up with lots of sunshine, who knows?!

Natalie- Working like normal. I am glad that I finally found something to help me sleep during the day. I started taking melatonin when I sleep during the day and it took about 2 weeks of taking it to see it actually working. For a while it was just making me drag on when I was awake but finally it started working and I got to sleep until 4 this afternoon! That makes me handle nights a lot easier. I'm not sure if I ever blogged it or not but from the end of January to the beginning of March I lost around 7-9% body fat. When I realized I was finally in the 'average' range I was very excited and realized HOW to set goals. I've been on the 'weight loss' journey for so long that that's how I looked at it, as a 'weight loss'. Thing of it is, it's not a weight loss journey for me anymore. I want fat loss. That's how I should have looked at it the entire time. I always knew that muscle weighs more than fat but I guess it didn't sink in until I was measured and was told that I have 160lbs of lean muscle mass. My goal weight wise WAS the weight I was when Dennis and I got married, at 173lbs. That would put me at less than 8% body fat! That is very difficult for a female. So I know now to make my goal a percentage instead of a number. This is especially true since I want to continue to build muscle. So, for my "fat loss" journey, I am lifting my butt off! Well actually, I kinda like my hinny since I've been doing so many squats so I don't want to lift my butt off but that wont happen since I'm lifting and doing it heavy!

GWL

This past weekend we went to the Great Wolf Lodge for Dennis's Dad's birthday. We had all of his family and it was a great time.

Mollie, Will, Tenley, and Hadley

I did NOT get many pictures at the Great Wolf Lodge. When we got there we went straight to the pool and when one parent is chasing a 3 year old and the other is holding the 1 year old, you just don't get the camera out. They both LOVED it though. Before we even got into the swimming area, Lillian was laughing.

We swam until about 5 the first day and went up to get some supper and relax a bit. Will and his pain tolerance will forever amaze me. We got to the room and I notice his toe is bleeding all around his toe nail. I said "buddy, your bleeding!" And he looks at his hands trying to figure out where... This is probably when we should have tried to get Will down for a nap. He does not do well without naps yet. He NEEDS them or he NEEDS to be in bed, asleep at 6:30PM. End. Of. Story.

Lillian got to sleep pretty much on time, with only a morning nap she was falling asleep at 6:45 drinking her bottle so she went straight to bed and was doing great. The rest of us stayed up and chatted, watched the game and just had fun.

I am a person who does not do well on less than say 7 hours of sleep. I do best with 9. So at 10:00 I said Good-night and headed to bed. Will stayed up for a bit longer but I finally got him to bed at 10:30. Around 11:30 is when the fun started. With so little sleep, Will was a bear! He screamed for Mom, his Monkey (that we so happened to have forgotten) and that he wanted to go home. We were all in one room so his screaming proceeded to wake Lillian up. She screamed. He calmed down for a bit and then started to scream again. She woke up, and screamed. This was the pattern for the next 3 1/2 hours. I *think* we had about four hours of sleep. That might be stretching it some.

Woke up around 6:45 with more screaming and that was when we gave up and got up. Everyone else got up and went to church while we decided to stay and try to get the kids to nap a little more. Lillian got another 30 minute nap until Will woke her up. See a pattern here?

As we were both exhausted it was a toss up to swim again or just go home. We opted for the swim as this is our vacation. Left around noon and silence the whole way home! It took Will a good FULL day to catch up on sleep. He took a 3 hour nap the next day and I even had to wake him up.

This was Wiley. He was at story time that night and Will wanted to give him a hug until time came to hug him and he wouldn't go near him. I even tried to go with him, so cousins, Sadie and Sawyer took the picture with him.

Easter fun!

We started the weekend with Easter on the Deters side. Will had a hay day and actually picked up more than one egg at a time this year. Last year he would pick one up, eat it then go to the next missing most of the eggs.

Cousin Burke helping the boy out. Lillian was taking a nap during the egg hunt so she missed out. She wasn't feeling the greatest so we let her sleep.

Look Mom!

Grandma and Grandpa Deters with all (minus Lillian) of the grandkids!!!

Easter morning I JUST got off work so while Dennis did chores I let them tear open the baskets. I did miss the stalking openings on Christmas because I had to go to work, so I didn't feel too bad having Dennis miss this. ;)

Will was excited about his pool toys for this summer. He was funny with his tractor and dump truck.

"Mom take a picture of my tractor"

"And my dump truck."

Lillian and the actual twins of the family. We have always called Will and Kaydence 'the twins' but now that these two cuties are around not sure we can actually do that...

Egg hunting! Again, Lillian was sleeping....

'The twins'. Will loves Kaydence so much. It's so funny, the second he sees her he grabs her hand and off they go. She's a smart girl too, look at her having him pull her around in the wagon! That's love!!
