My loves!

It just makes me smile from ear to ear when I see her so peaceful!

Pajama day meant a picnic on the kitchen floor with Baby Puppy and Big Puppy! (Big Puppy was cold so he had to be covered up with Will's favorite blanket.)

'fruit snacks'

Gummy Candies are really easy to make yourself and you can make it so much healthier too than the store bought stuff. I was wanting to make a whole bunch of dog bone gummies for Will's birthday last year but then I found out they don't keep but a few days, max and well, I like things that keep longer than that when I party plan!

Its these three easy ingredients, jell-o, gelatin, and water!

My little helper will show you exactly how to make these yummy (ours are sugar free) snacks.

Pour water into a pot.

Add your jell-o

Add three packets of gelatin.

Stir them while they warm up. Don't let it boil but just enough to resolve all the gelatin.

Pour into desired mold. (My little helper didn't do this. I am sure it would have been one large baking pan shape mold if that were the case.)

Stick them into the freezer for ten minutes or until just set up and then they pop right out of the mold. Hardly any cleaning after.

We ran out of molds and I didn't care to dig any others out so we just used an ice tray. This really works if you don't care what they look like or just a 'healthier' snack for yourself.

If you attempt to make these yourself, I hope you enjoy it as much as Will enjoys his 'fruit snacks'.
(Mom just doesn't buy the real thing so this works!!!

Holy Mother of Teething!

So, Will was about four months old when two of his pearly whites popped through. Lillian, is almost ten and a half months old with not a single one in sight! This girl has got to have like six just seconds from popping through as much pain as she is in. The last couple of nights have been brutal for Dennis and I. Taking turns having Lillian sleeping on our chest still doesn't give one person enough rest to make it through the day without caffeine. (On my third now....)
This just makes me laugh. She was not a fan of this food. It was from my Dad who got it because it was outdated. (I grew up on out-dated food so no haters out there!) Let's just say, she's not a fan!!!

The first picture is just one I had to take of my favorite little man. He was drinking my protein shake. Vanilla protein power, an orange (would have been better with 2 oranges) and some coconut milk. He enjoyed it as well. Will tends to take half of my shakes, especially my chocolate, banana shakes!

We have been trying anything in our power to make Lillian happy with her teething. I went to Dollar General last night and found this thing.... It's that rattle looking thing that you put frozen fruits in it. I think I'm going to freeze some of her yogurt in ice cube trays to put in there.

And just one to prove that she still smiles even though something is hurting her really bad!

Boring Blog

I have sat down to wright a new blog post several times now and I am just unsure of what to wright. I have many things I can wright about but I just don't know if I should put it out there. A lot of the things are just vents and negative. Well, I'd rather not pass the negativity around. It's not that I have been in such a bad mood but just a few things I want to get off my chest. Since they are so negative I'm going to pass on sharing them. So, instead I still don't know what to say.

I'll give you an update on what I've been doing as far as getting myself back into those pants I wore over a year ago. My sisters and parents bought me a 3 month program with a personal trainer that is in my neighboring town. This program has a few recipes, a three month workout program and also a food plan. This is awesome and it has really helped me with my sugar addiction. Now, if I am craving something its usually a hand full of nuts, sometimes it's a little dark chocolate. But the point is, I am really doing better on my food intake. Apparently it needs to be better as I have only lost 2.5 pounds in the last three weeks, but I'll get there. It is a very slow process and I hate it.

Working out has always been an easy part of this. Easy as in I do enjoy it but.... it's always hard to workout at home when you have a ten month old trying to stand up on your exercise equipment and you have an almost three year old wanting to 'work out' with you by holding your hands and doing summer salts on you. If I didnt' paint a good enough picture then I'm deeply sorry as it is quite a sight. Oh, how about if that ten month old isn't content climbing on your equipment, then she wants held, so you switch holding her with your workout buddy to use her as the weight because that's the only way she is happy. Because this is how my work outs go at home, I have invested even more in this personal trainer and I am doing personal training with her and one of my sisters twice a week for a month. This is a seriously tough work out! We had our first one tonight and I may not want to get out of bed in the morning.

In three weeks of really watching what I'm eating and working my butt off (okay trying too but whatever...) I haven't lost a single inch and only 2 1/2 pounds. This does bum me out since I've been working so hard.

On another note of all this weight loss, muscle building, changing my life for the better business, I'll let you know about the kids.

Will has been sick this week and since I have been on nights that means VERY little sleep for Mom. Wednesday Will woke up with a fever of 101. This meant no daycare and since it was unexpected I had just gotten home from work and been up all night. Mickey Mouse allowed me to cat nap until around 9:30 until Dennis came in and he took over snuggles until lunch time. I had woken up just to go to the bathroom but Will hadn't napped yet and I had to take him somewhere in a little under an hour. So, no more sleep! The next day he went to daycare in the morning because the day before his fever broke around 9 and stayed away. I got a whopping four hours of sleep before daycare called saying he had a fever again. After getting him, we managed to get a nap but that was the only sleep for that day. Luckily we have an awesome Grandma who watched Will so I finally got some sleep today. Tomorrow the kids will still be at the other awesome Grandmas so again, sleep. YEAH! Anyway, Lillian is still doing great. Hopefully she doesn't get whatever Will has. She is now pulling up on EVERYTHING. I can't wait for that little girl to just start walking. If you know me, you know I'm not a big fan of the baby stage. I want the walking, talking, going everywhere toddler. She is so silly. Her laugh is one that could make anyone laugh. She is so ticklish. Watching her brother makes her laugh. Apparently Will is very funny.

The other day, as I was working out, I asked Will to give Lillian half of his gram cracker and he breaks off a little, 1/2"x 1/4" piece and gives it to her. He is already such a good big brother, sharing his food and all. ;)

Anther funny Will story is while going to daycare to pick up Lillian the other day, he informed me that the bad guys were shooting at me. I asked him what he was going to do and he said, "You get the older one, and I'll take the other." I asked what we were going to do with them and his response was "Lets take them home and give them some grub!" What? Who says that?? That kid makes me laugh all the time!

My little Elf!

We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.

Daddy and Will doing chores. Will fed the calf and ever since he put the headlight on that night, he has wanted to wear it all the time. He loves following around Dad and being like him.

New Year's Resolutions

Are you setting any? Should I even try? I feel as though if I actually say they are "New Year Resolutions" then I will fail and not reach my goal. I have really been struggling with my eating habits of the late. I want to be healthy, I want a great body, I want to be proud of what I look like so why is it I eat so much junk? Its as though I truly can't help it. I bought cookies at the grocery store and after eating three I realized what I did and that I wasn't going to stop so I gave them to the pharmacy when I went to pick up stuff. I love to workout so that is no problem, it is just the eating portion I have troubles with. If any of you see me with junk food in my hand, I give you permission to smack me.

For my birthday and Christmas my sisters and parents bought me a three month program with a personal trainer. I am also going to do do personal training with her and my oldest sister. This is the third day of January and the third day of taking charge of my eating habits. The first day was GREAT! I didn't crave any junk, not even chocolate (witch I switched to dark several months ago). Yesterday I caved and had a few dark chocolate almonds but otherwise did pretty well. Today is a new day and yet still a challenge that I vow to overcome. The junk needs to get out of the house not only for me but for my kids. Will has taken sweet tooth to a whole new sweet teeth!

Do I have any other 'resolutions'? Ya, a few but I know it will be like any and all other new year resolutions! 1.) Clean 15 minutes a day. (If you add in loading the dishwasher, piling up dirty laundry into a basket, etc then I do this anyway but I'm talking on top of that, set a timer and go!)
2.) Pray every day. Even if it is with Will at bed time, I would have nothing that makes me happy without God.
3.) Be Happy. Sometimes this is a struggle even though I am a VERY happy-go-lucky type of person. I need to be happy in every aspect of my life and there are a few that I will have troubles with. I'm not going to go into detail but I shouldn't rely on others to make me happy.
4.) Save money. I need to pay off my credit card. This should only take a few months so after that, its back to getting my savings account back up. It will help once Lillian is off formula and onto regular milk and eating more of our food instead of store bought baby food. After I had Will I dumped my savings account to pay off the hospital bill and have struggled getting it back up since then.

We went sledding and they both loved it until they face planted into the snow. Will kept going. Lillian was done!

So she stayed on my hip on the sling after that as we pulled Will in the sled.

That is about all I have for resolutions for the new year. Some may go away like always (cleaning 15 minutes a day.!) but others will stick with me throughout the year. No matter what your resolution is for the new year, I wish you luck with keeping them and also I wish you a happy and healthy new year. May 2013 be better to you than 2012!
